Someone once said, “Life is what happens to you when you’re busy making other plans. So true. Although I’ve always been writing, I discovered a way to combine that and my passion for exploration, often on foot, to some of the world’s most inspiring and untouched places.
My life has been a series of crossings. One of my earliest memories is of a little towheaded kid crossing the vastness of America with his Dad at the wheel of a ‘56 Chevy. We sailed wide-eyed across America until we ran out of land at the Pacific Ocean. That event set the stage for my ever-moving life. I’ve continued exploring the world, its magic, and meaning in nearly 100 countries.
Today, I capture that sense of wonder, challenge, and even survival in my books. My stories are real and often gritty, as they reveal the triumphs, those “Wow”moments, and challenges of independent travel on paths less traveled.
